Transitions!

pchWell, here goes! After making the announcement on Sunday that we are officially moving to Anaheim, California to become a part of the family at Anaheim Baptist Fellowship, we are now in transition mode.

We have several weeks now to spend time with our family and friends here in Indiana while also making preparations for the move. We thank God for the grace that He has given to us so far in this time of change. Change is hard, but change is good when God is in it.

Pastor Dave's last Sunday preaching at Wabash Valley will be February 12th. He and Sage will head west the following week to be there in time for Dave to preach his first Sunday as pastor of Anaheim Baptist Fellowship on February 19th. Tawnia and the girls will stay back in Indiana to complete the school year and will join Dave and Sage in the summer.

Welcome to Anaheim Baptist Fellowship

A Firm Foundation

Just like when a building is being built, the construction project must start out with a solid foundation that can support the entire structure.  A weak foundation will greatly limit the size of the structure, or whether the structure could withstand the fury of a storm.  A church is similar when it comes to its own governance and leadership.  In order to grow and build a strong ministry we must first start with a strong foundation.

On Sunday, April 17th our church body voted on and unanimously passed a new Constitution, Statement of Faith, and By-Laws that will be used to govern the church into the future.  At the same meeting, a new Board of Trustees, and Corporate Officers were elected in accordance with the newly established Bylaws.  It is now time to begin the process of growing our church congregation based on a time tested foundation for a Bible believing, New Testament church.

The changes to our Constitution and Bylaws are not meant to change any of the traditional Baptist doctrines that this church was founded upon over 50 years ago, but merely to bring the church governance up to date with newly adopted legal and moral standards that were not addressed in the original church Constitution and Bylaws.  The newly updated Statement of Faith and Covenant have been posted on this website, please take some time and review this document.  This document represents the beliefs and values that is professed by our church body of members.

It is now time to begin reaching out to our local community and invite new people into our church family.  As we grow and develop new ministries, we will see first hand God at work in our own lives as well as those that come into the faith through the ministry of Anaheim Baptist Fellowship.
